Although this is mainly a fish and meat place, they had vegetarian options. The eggplant was delicious!! Highly recommend ! Dani was an excellent server !!
One of my favorite places, the environment is amazing the food is great, I’ve tried every dish and I have no complaints. Mike is the best chef ever definitely one of my favorite people, the waiters are the best always with a very good presentation
What is left to say about Don Peppe's. The food service and atmosphere are all beyond expectation. Baked clams, Shrimp Luciano and veal Don Peppe's is my go to. Hands down best piece of veal I've ever tasted. Service is impeccable and you feel like a Don eating here!
This is my number 1 to go dinning for Italian place , old fashion cooking everything in the menus is amazingly delicious. It’s been 35 years going for us still delicious. Never disappoint us . Thank you to all the staff for making all this delicious food..
Been dining here since the early 80s. And it’s still special. One big room, many personable servers. No cocktails. Wine choices: red or white. And the bottle arrive with no cork and no label. But delicious. Baked clams are the best I have ever tasted. Always. We had planned on ordering salad and pasta, but the server said we were making a mistake. The fillet of sole was a rare ‘special,’ and the Portobello mushrooms were delicious. That we could have pasta anytime. And because he made sense we ordered the fillet of sole and mushrooms and they were, indeed, delicious. Cash only. Noisy room. Happy people. Accessible ♿️. You don’t know what you’re missing.
Still the best! Yep, best Italian food around! Family style and straightforward. No fancy wine lists here, but boy is it great! Got to try the shrimp Luciano with linguine, stuffed clams, mussels white and red sauce, and chicken don Peppe! And yes, even the house wine is delicious! When your 12 years old tells you they love everything here even the onion you know it’s good!
I thought I walked on to the set of The Sopranos. AWESOME! I had on a ball cap and was asked to remove it. I'm from the South, I don't need to be told to remove my hat, but I was like cool. It shows class. The menu is what would bring me back. I wanted to try everything. The salad is banging. It's Family Style, so come hungry. But your server will let you know that. CASH ONLY! I'm a 21st Century guy, so that would have been nice to know prior. But I should have known, it's still New York! Love it! Of course I didn't take photos! LOL!
I love this place. It has the best chicken cutlet dishes around. I always get shrimp Luciano over linguini, Chicken don Pepe and the absolute best dish, Lemon chicken. I hate lemon candy lemon on my fish etc. But this is different there is no sour or acidic taste. It's absolutely amazing. Also ask if they have tiramisu for dessert. It's no on the menu and they don't have it all the time. But it's one of the best I've had.
This food was delish! The service was awesome! Wish I lived closer to go more often. I'm glad I was able to go and I'll return when I'm back in NY.
